The Legacy of Bryant Marching Band

(6th & 7th Periods)

 

The Legacy of Bryant Marching Band is open to students who display a highly proficient standard of music and marching performance as accepted by the instructional staff. Practices begin in mid-July and last throughout the summer. Marching season continues throughout the first nine to ten weeks of the school year. Performances for the Marching Band include but are not limited to all home varsity football games, pep rallies, parades, and marching competitions throughout the season.

 

Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, students will be required to audition for the competition ensemble or they may choose to join the FNB (Friday Night Band).

Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band & Concert Band

(6th & 7th Periods)

 

The Wind Ensemble, Symphonic, and Concert Bands are formed at the end of marching season from audition placement the previous spring semester. Rehearsals are held during school with extra sectionals, rehearsals, and clinics being scheduled from time to time outside of the school day. Attendance at extra sectionals, rehearsals, and clinics is mandatory. They also perform at a number of concerts and competitions throughout the school year. Attendance for concerts and competitions is also mandatory.

The Legacy Jazz

(2nd Period)

 

The Legacy Jazz Band is a small ensemble of students that play a wide range of standard jazz repertoire as well as contemporary pop tunes.  Entry into the jazz band is generally audition based.
